For more than 5 years Dorion Dream Center had devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the hungry, needy and poor members of the Vaudreuil-Soulange community. For the past 4 years Pete has been involved as a Food bank and community Diner implementation manager. Our mission is to feed the body & feed the soul- by offering a weekly Food bank service and Supper at our community Diner. Our goals are to intentionally develop relationships with all that come through our doors and try to meet their needs physical, emotional and most important the spiritual- that Christ's name may be boldly proclaimed.
Our prayer is that people would leave in a better state than they came in. Our main outreach occurs each Thursday evening where a Supper time meal is served- usually attended by 30-40 people. Here there is singing followed by a short Bible lesson- by one of our counselors.
The food bank established in 2013 with 12 families has grown to an average of 60-75 families (in 2018) partaking in our Food bank services each week. We are excited in seeing Gods Kingdom grow!

Kalvin and Marcy Amendt have been called to serve the youth of Chateauguay through Montreal Youth Unlimited. As Station 7 Coordinator, Kalvin plans youth programming and events like Drop-in, guys and girls groups, Dinner and Discussion, shop ministries, and much more. Marcy Coordinates Options Crisis Pregnancy Centre, providing a listening ear and information to young women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. She also facilitates many of the administrative tasks for the ministry in Chateauguay.
Station 7 - Chateauguay is a bilingual faith-based youth centre. Activities include Friday night Drop-in for high school aged kids, Thursday Young Adults Drop-in for ages 18 to 25, games nights, movie nights, dinner and discussion nights, and boys and girls specific activities. We offer youth a variety of activities, including pool tables, foosball, video games, air hockey, board games and a very popular low cost snack bar. Christian music fills the center, and special events are always being added to the calendar. The staff and volunteers have a heart to help youth through the bumps of adolescence in a non-judgmental way, sharing the love of God through modelling and discussions.
Options Crisis Pregnancy Centre offers free and confidential support to those impacted by crisis pregnancy. The centre's trained staff and volunteers have hearts full to encourage, to uplift, to strengthen, and to inform young women so they can make a clear decision about their pregnancy. Clients have access to free pregnancy testing, peer-counselling, guidance to access resources in the community, post-abortion counselling, support throughout and after pregnancy, and access to baby and maternity items from our "ARK": a room full of donated items for moms and babies in need. (Donations welcome!)
